USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is proud to be the last stop for the Memorial Day Flag Relay. The relay will begin in West Mobile and end on the USS Alabama. Two Flag Carriers will carry the American Flag and POW/MIA flag for 1 mile along the 25-mile route. CLICK HERE

Main Street Beats will kick off the summer on Memorial day, and continue each Monday as part of the Wharf Summer Nights series. The special Memorial Day fireworks show will snap, crackle and pop to the beat of a summer-themed musical element at 8:45 p.m. with the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience to immediately follow. Campfires, a live DJ, and s’mores will be the scene as the City of Gulf Shores hosts its bi-annual S’mores on the Shore event. This free, family-friendly event has quickly become the perfect recipe for families of all ages looking for fun and excitement. The event will include fun activities such as a balloon artist and face painting! The Lions Club will be selling hotdogs, chips, and drinks at the event, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will also be present! Portions of Palafox St and Intendencia St will be closed from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Think of it as a Mini-Gallery Night. There will be food trucks, vendors, street entertainment, a music stage, give-aways, and lots of fun.
This community event features two screenings of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney (1925) showcasing music on the 1925 Saenger Pipe Organ at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Tickets are free, and can be claimed at the Box Office in advance or at the door while supplies last.
